Stork is a cost-effective, speedy and confidential service to dispense and deliver your fertility prescription.

We specialise in dispensing fertility prescriptions and make thousands of deliveries each year. We deliver next day throughout the UK and can dispense prescriptions written by prescribers in the UK and Europe.

Four simple steps to using our service:

1. Get a quote from Stork:

• Email: stork@healthnethomecare.co.uk, attaching a copy of your prescription, the prescribing clinic and your contact details.

2. We’ll call you on the contact number(s) you’ve provided. When we call, you will be asked a security question (e.g. date of birth) to confirm your identity.

All calls are handled in a confidential manner. NB quotes are based on the information you provide and are not binding until we have confirmed the details against the original prescription.

3. If you’re happy with the quote send your original prescription to us addressed to: ‘HEALTHNET freepost address’.

4. On receipt of your prescription we’ll contact you again to confirm the quote, take payment and arrange the most convenient delivery date and address. Deliveries can be next day.

What is the Stork Fertility Service?

We understand that fertility is a very personal matter, and that the decision to seek medical assistance is not one taken lightly.

Can I email my prescription to Stork?

A photographed or scanned and emailed copy of your prescription will help us to provide an accurate quotation for your prescription. However, we cannot dispense from a scanned prescription and must have the original prescription before we supply your medicines.

Do I have to have my whole prescription dispensed?

Yes, we keep a range of ancillary items in stock and we can provide guidance on what you will need to inject your medicine, but if you don’t require all the items on your prescription, we’re able to remove anything unwanted for you.

Where can my medicines be delivered to?

Your medication can be delivered to any address in the UK; however there must be someone there to receive and sign for the delivery. Deliveries can be made to either home or work addresses.

Deliveries to third parties must be authorised by the patient at the time of booking.

We can deliver to any part of the UK and to Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. We do not currently deliver to any other overseas territory.

Delivery details

We use a number of different courier services including our own vans to ensure that you receive your delivery at a convenient time for you, wherever you are. We’ll usually be able to give you a two hour time window for your delivery so you’ll be able to work your day around your delivery slot.

All deliveries must be signed for by the patient or another authorised party and they will not be left unattended or in a safe place.

*Deliveries to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and offshore islands may take slightly longer. We can advise on exact details when we arrange your delivery.

Items that need to be refrigerated

Items that require refrigeration will be separately packed into validated cool boxes that ensure that your medication stays at the right temperature during transit. Once received, the items should be unpacked from the box as soon as possible and placed in a refrigerator at a temperature between +2°C and +8°C. It is very important that the items are not frozen.

In certain circumstances, e.g. for deliveries to a work place, where it is not practical to place the items into a fridge straightaway, you should leave the items in the unopened cool box and unpack them when you get home. The items will remain at the correct temperature for up to 12 hours after delivery.

What will the package look like?

To maintain confidentiality your medication will be packed into plain packaging and will have no indication of its contents. If the parcel contains refrigerated items there will be a sticker on the outer packaging that states:

“Contains refrigerated item
On receipt remove from packaging and store in a fridge between +2°C and +8°C.
Do not freeze.”

Who are Stork?

The Stork Fertility Service is provided by HealthNet Homecare from its purpose-designed 7,600sqft specialist Pharmacy, based in West Yorkshire.

Our Pharmacy is operated by Pharmacists and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (reg. no. 1113506). We hold an NHS dispensing contract with NHS England; a Wholesale Distribution Authority (no. WDA(H) 41045) from the MHRA and a Controlled Drugs Wholesale Licence from the Home Office. We are members of the National Pharmacy Association and National Clinical Homecare Association.

Can I return unwanted medication?

UK legislation prevents us from accepting back for re-use any medication that has left our control. Therefore, we’re not able to offer refunds for the return of unwanted or unused medication. If you have any medicines needing disposal, please take them to your local pharmacy.

What do I do if I have a complaint?

We’ll do all we can to ensure your medicines are dispensed and delivered to you conveniently, accurately and with the minimum of fuss. Can prescriptions be delivered outside of the UK?

We can deliver to any part of the UK and to Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. We do not currently deliver to any other overseas address.

Can we dispense prescriptions from overseas?

Yes, we can dispense original prescriptions from countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

We can accept prescriptions from the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK

In addition to the usual UK requirements, prescriptions from the EEA must give the prescriber’s full first name, surname, professional qualifications and direct contact details including email address, telephone or fax, and work address. We’ll confirm the prescriber’s registration status before dispensing.

Legally, we can only dispense medicines with a UK product licence.
